Karin Carlander x Silkeborg Uldspinderi is a collection of baby alpaca throws. The alpaca fibres are smooth, supple and flexible. As a result, a throw of alpaca is soft and lustrous. Even very thin plaids are warm – and can be used by the majority of people who are allergic to wool.

Cumulus - The title refers to the Latin word for high, heap, top. The pattern is an abstract reflection of the formation of a pattern which, based on a flat bottom, forms ascending formations in packed groups. We know the concept of cumulus clouds in the sky.

The alpaca fibres are naturally dirt-repellent, so the majority of stains caused by juice, coffee, etc., can be prevented by carefully dabbing the surface with a dry cloth before the stain gets into the fibres. The throws are manufactured from very fine and thin fibres. We, therefore, recommend that you have your alpaca plaid dry-cleaned if stains or similar appear on them.
